YOUR CHOICE IN THREE BUDGET TIERS

High-end, mid-range or budget?

First decide on seating distance, room light and floor space. The 55- and 65-inch units are not equivalents of the same size.

Our recommendations by features and use case, not a complete market test. The tiers apply within the category; daily deals can change the price order. Source check: 15.10.2026.

High-end

Samsung GQ65S95HFTXZG (S95H), 65 inch

Samsung GQ65S95HFTXZG
Samsung GQ65S95HFTXZG · Image: Samsung. Check scope of delivery in the offer.

Why this choice? Our high-end choice for a spacious living room with OLED picture quality and demands for both film and gaming.

Before buying: 65 inches needs more floor space than the two 55-inch alternatives. Check reflections at the intended spot.

Why this choice? Our budget pick for a brighter living room: Mini-LED LCD and 144 Hz according to the manufacturer.

Before buying: Zone-based dimming is not pixel-precise OLED control; check viewing angle and reflections on site.

Our recommendation by use case

Candidate for frequent daytime TV

TCL 55C7K

TCL 55C7K
TCL 55C7K · Image: TCL. Check scope of delivery in the offer.
Screen size
55 inches
Display technology
LCD with Mini-LED backlight
Refresh rate
144 Hz native, per manufacturer

Our assessment: Mini-LED with local dimming and 144 Hz is interesting for a versatile living room. This selection is based on features, not on our own brightness measurements.

The trade-off: A window opposite remains a risk. Check reflections and side seating positions on the specific 55-inch unit.

Candidate for film evenings

LG OLED55C54LA (C5)

Screen size
55 inches
Display technology
OLED, self-emitting pixels
Refresh rate
120 Hz; VRR up to 144 Hz, per listing

Our assessment: The individually addressable OLED pixels are a good argument for dark film scenes. This recommendation assumes the size and offer price suit you.

The trade-off: The exact model suffix matters. Data for other C5 variants and other screen sizes is not treated as identical here.

Premium pick for gaming and a bright room

Samsung GQ65S95HFTXZG (S95H)

Samsung GQ65S95HFTXZG
Samsung GQ65S95HFTXZG · Image: Samsung. Check scope of delivery in the offer.
Screen size
65 inches
Display technology
OLED with glare-free surface
Refresh rate
100 Hz native; VRR up to 165 Hz, per Samsung DE

Our assessment: Our premium pick when anti-glare and PC gaming take priority: Samsung states Glare Free and 4K with up to 165 Hz VRR. RTINGS' original US test supports classifying the series as a versatile OLED; features and measurements of the US variant are not fully transferable to the German model.

The trade-off: No Dolby Vision according to the series test. Check whether anti-glare and gaming features are worth the extra cost to you. A matte surface does not replace good placement.

Premium pick for films and built-in TV sound

Sony BRAVIA 8 II K-65XR8M2

Sony BRAVIA 8 II
Sony BRAVIA 8 II · Image: Sony · series illustration. Check scope of delivery in the offer.
Screen size
65 inches
Display technology
OLED, self-emitting pixels
Refresh rate
120 Hz; 4K 120 / VRR, per Sony

Our assessment: Our film alternative with Dolby Vision and Acoustic Surface Audio+: the sound comes through the display. Interesting if you weigh picture and built-in sound together. RTINGS' US series test provides additional practical impressions but does not replace a test of this German variant.

The trade-off: For demanding PC gaming, 4K at 120 Hz is the limit. Not all HDMI ports offer the same features; plan soundbar, console and PC together before buying.

HOLD UP TO THE WALL BEFORE ORDERING

How big is the picture really?

Calculate the pure picture area of a 16:9 television. Frame, stand and mounting clearances come on top of this.

55 inches works out to roughly 121.8 × 68.5 cm of picture area.

Calculation: inches × 2.54 cm × 16 or 9 ÷ √337. This is a geometric planning aid, not a recommendation for your seating distance.

Before ordering: check three things

  1. Check TV furniture, stand, wall mount and cable routing.
  2. Look at the picture from the outer sofa seat, not just head-on.
  3. Match the exact model number, size, new condition and required HDMI functions against the offer.

How this comparison is made

Editorial: Bestpreisradar · Data check on 12.10.2026. We compare the models named using linked manufacturer and offer data, Amazon rankings from the DataForSEO Merchant API, and explicitly marked original tests. The recommendations are our assessment of this information; we do not carry out our own lab tests. The selection does not cover the entire market.

Manufacturer data proves features, not automatically quality. Missing measurements are not replaced by stars or overall scores. Prices and availability are shown in the respective shop; a model search may include differing variants. The order is not a quality ranking.
